What do I Need?
It is a great day to look for Back to School Supplies. We all like Discount School Supplies even better! Your student is about to begin the fall semester in the Kyrene School District which includes parts of Tempe, Chandler & Phoenix.
It is time to take advantage of the many Back to School sales. Look for Discount School Supplies offered by many merchants both in stores and online!
Most schools have School Supply list available by grade, see the list above. Additionally, while this is not an all-inclusive list, it is a great start. Also, teachers typically send home supply lists on the first day of school. These lists identify basic items as well as anything specific for their class.
We know teachers may have specific items to add and those will be provided the first day of school. These school lists will get you started! Don’t forget to send a large of tissues for the whole classroom!
Today you have the option of going from store to store if find supplies or order them online. Some stores like Walmart and Target provide one-stop shopping for clothes, shoes and locker supplies as well as school supplies, backpacks, and lunch boxes.
Ordering school supplies online lets you find exactly what you are looking from the comfort of home and they are delivered to your front door! School supplies are pretty cut and dried so ordering online is usually just a point and click process!

Don’t want to battle the crowds or Phoenix heat? Consider shopping online. Office Max and Staples along with many other sites offer the convenience of online shopping and door to door delivery.
Office Max Often offer very low prices on crayons, notebooks, paper, etc. The first few purchases of some items is greatly discounted. As of 7/21/19, Elmer’s glue was 3 – 4 oz bottles for
$1.00 (limit 3). Crayons – 3 boxes for $1.00 (just examples and offers change by week)

Don’t overlook local grocery stores. Most have a section on school supplies and offer low prices of typical supplies such as crayons, spiral notebooks, loose-leaf paper, etc. Some may limit the number you can buy, others do not.
Don’t forget to pick up a few extra items to donate. There are several organizations around the valley collecting backpacks and school supplies for students in need. So, pick up a few extra items and consider donating so all students can start the school year with all the school supplies they need.
